USDA announced a new $1.625 billion assistance program for specialty crop producers impacted by rising costs and export disruptions. Eligible growers can begin applying in June, with payments based on crop category and acreage reported for the 2025 growing season. read more here

Nebraska officials are urging cattle producers to watch for signs of Theileria, a tick-borne disease that can cause anemia, weakness and death in cattle. Grains End Week Lower

Grain markets finished the week under pressure as falling energy prices, mixed export demand, and technical selling weighed on futures. Corn, soybeans, and wheat all moved lower, with wheat suffering the sharpest losses. Traders are now turning their attention to USDA’s June WASDE report for fresh market direction. read more here

A new study suggests the Renewable Fuel Standard dramatically increased Midwest farmland values, boosting prices as much as 70% in top corn-producing areas.
