Do you ever wonder where all the water is? Almost 97% of it is in the oceans, and is too salty to do much with. The other 3% can be found in ice caps, swamps, in the ground, and in the atmosphere. It’s also in living organisms like archaea, plants, insects, bacteria, fungi, and us! Of all the freshwater, just 0.03% is used by humans and it’s mostly for agriculture.
